Japanese Death Metal legends Transgressor are back with a brand new EP

We are excited to announce that legendary Japanese band Transgressor are back with a new mini LP after more than 30 years. The album will be available on vinyl through Me Saco Un Ojo Records, on CD via Sewer Rot Records, and on cassette in Europe through Unholy Domain Records and in Japan through Tanaka Shoten.

For those unfamiliar with Transgressor, the band formed in Tokyo, Japan in 1989 and released a series of incredible demos before unleashing their classic death metal debut “Ether for Scapegoat” in 1992. For more than thirty years, there has been no new music from Transgressor…until now.

Takashi (Anatomia, Necrophile) was joined by Akihito and Kimihide from the “Ether to Scapegoat” lineup alongside newcomer Satoshia Ishida (Sabbat, Magnesium, Metalucifer) to craft five dark new songs that are sure to please fans of death metal and the classic Transgressor material.

CDs and tapes will be released on August 24th, one week before the band’s appearance at Kill-Town Death Fest. The vinyl release will take a bit longer and is expected to be available by the end of November.
