Senobyte debut on vinyl   Something beyond the disturbing and the disconcerting is what Senobyte has brought to our attention, via their chilling and discouraging Doom. Pretty much a serious accomplishment, considering the fact that the band's only recording so far, consists of just two sticky tunes. A simple listen has motivated us and has been reason enough for Me Saco Un Ojo, to offer this New Brunswick, NJ's trio, pressing both tracks as a 7" EP, marking their debut on vinyl as their first official release ever. This not exactly another ordinary slab of heaviness and lunacy: it actually reminds to the grotesqueness of Disembowelment on their worst moment, meeting the most unreal induced trips of early Esoteric, with a worrisome sensibility for the occult and mythical buried by time and dust, both lyric and music wise. UNCANNY 7 inch for pre-order now !  Formed in 1990, Sweden's Uncanny was an early progenitor of the Swedish death metal scene. After a couple demos, a split and an oft-overlooked full-length in 1994, Uncanny faced an untimely and unfortunate demise.
Eighteen years after their lone debut, "Splenium for Nyktophobia," Uncanny returns with two brand new tracks featured on this 7". This is not a reformation without merit. "Creation's Tomb" and "The Path of Flesh" are authentic slabs of death metal done the old way.
This 7" is presented in three editions. One of the rarest and most sought-after rarities of the classic Swedish death metal heydays, is finally available again and released on vinyl for the first time ever. A dedicated edition to this split originally unleashed back in 1993 by Studiofrämjandet only on CD, with a much more fitting new cover and stunning artwork by Guillem el Muro. This mini LP shows two different sides of the coin, filling an essential gap to understand and have a complementary perspective of the aforementioned scene by two bands that didn't reach a high status but which, for sure and independently, enriched the spectrum of the genre and of its native school with their own ideas. None of them sounded like Sunlight clones: in both cases due of their respective productions and also, because the way they faced the style on their compositions and their respective particularities as authors. Exanthema were reasonably brutal for their time and varied on the two songs presented here, with almost imperceptible thrash hints and skin crawling unreal deep guttural vocals. On the other hand, Chronic Decay are as aggressive on their three tunes as on their album, with that punk/core hateful approach that worked so well for them and that made them unique and recognizable almost instantly. An emphatic shared piece of wax, to be served raw, uncut and cold, in the early nineties tradition.

But every once in a while one of those remarkable combos that has broke through the neverending horizons of the Land of the Rising Sun, has been branded either by being an outstanding entity or a substantial freak of nature gifted with the prize of uniqueness, if not both at the same time. Necrophile definitevley belong to the first catergory but also shone with a hint of personality. The trio not only has proved their weight when interest about their music is still boling after more than two decades, but it also was the conjunction of musicians with a certain trajectory in the underground of their country, that with the time would mark the start and subsequent enhacenment of their activity on other rather notorious acts like Multiplex,Hellchild and Anatomia. Their simple death metal when the scene was on the epicentre of its eruption was a son of their time, with that rabid furious storm teenage drifting puch, as properly represents the songs of their demos and 7" EP along with the live tracks (recorded during the shows they perfomed on the US along with Deceased and Sadistic Intent) compiled on this anthology. Besides being a celebration offering of a time which was a frenzy spiral of excitement, "Mementos of the Misting Woods" also is the clearest evidence that something even greater could have been handled by these carnal lovers of the defuncts, if they wouldn't have meet such an early demise. Being brought up in the peak of the Colombian underground movement in the eighties is one of those grim enduring scars which both well define the character and is an unmistakable mark impossible to get rid-off. Instead of being a curse about which trying to get further away, Organismos' second full length album "Manejos Invisibles", has unveiled a neat unpolished metallic gem abruptly but coherently crafted, building bridges between the cities of Medellín and Antioquía where its members are located and come from.
Blending the unbelievable violence of the South American underground sound while allowing the interference of certain and nailed experimental licences, it could shock the listener and results a juxtaposition difficult to believe or understand, but which with truly ends up assembling completely. Determined about being risky and challenging without refusing to voice rude and disconcerting, the philosophical and metaphysical lyrical work of this apocalyptic compendium, spites out a hopeless diatribe which stresses the overall decadent ambience of these 10 exalted tunes.
As a final side note, is it necessary to add that the guitar player known as La Bruja, accomplishes on his resume having being part of the legendary Parabellum and Herpes? And the same thing goes for Alberto Correa (bass) and Alexis Vélez (vocals and drums) who were part of seminal outfit Ataque de Sonido. These certainly would be appetizing selling points but refering to an album which stands by itself proving it's soundness, it's a mere anecdotal fact since the quality of the music is what counts and outstands on this opus indisputably. Four short but hurting songs of brimming dirt, rottenness and obscenity that despite of being a total massacre, will make the surviving listeners to ask for a more extensive and hard hitting punishment . The fucked up and blow up stench of the productions puts the triple rated XXX on a distorted musical effort which won't that easily forgotten, no matter how many bands around try (and fail) to achive.
